Nominations Open for the 2016 BioProcess International Awards – Recognizing Excellence in BioProcessing

BioProcess International (BPI), the biopharmaceutical industry´s leading business to business publication announced the opening of nominations for the 2016 BioProcess International Awards – Recognizing Excellence in BioProcessing.

The 2016 BPI Awards recognizes and honors the individuals, organizations, and technologies that most significantly impacted and advanced biotherapeutic development and manufacturing.

The 2016 BPI Awards are grouped into three main categories: People, Organizations, and Technologies.

The People category will recognize Best Collaboration and Excellence in Leadership in the bioprocessing industry. The Organizations category will recognize Excellence in Facility Design and Retrofit; Emerging Company; and Corporate Citizenship. The Technologies category will recognize Best Upstream Technology Application; Best Downstream Technology Application; and Best Analytical Technology Application in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. In addition, BioProcess International will recognize Industry Champions whose clear vision, efforts, dedication, and efforts have challenged the biopharma industry to rethink, reinvent, and create new ways to improve existing processing, products, and technologies.

“Since 2003, the mission of BioProcess International has been to connect biopharmaceutical scientists and decision makers to the most valuable science, technologies and applications influencing upstream, downstream, manufacturing and analytical bioprocessing trends,” said Brian Caine, BPI´s Co-Founder and Publisher. “Since 2012, the mission of the biennial BioProcess International Awards has been to recognize the outstanding people, organizations, and technologies that define excellence and that have changed the status-quo by enabling more effective, less expensive biotherapeutic development and manufacturing.”

Nominations for the 2016 BioProcess International Awards will be accepted through 30 June 2016. All nominations will be evaluated and judged by an independent group of select of industry experts. Award finalists will be announced in September 2016.

Award winners and runner-ups will be recognized and introduced at the 2016 BPI Awards Reception, Dinner, and Ceremony taking place in October at the BioProcess International Conference and Exhibition, Boston, MA.
