BPI 2009 Conference a Success
BioProcess International, Vol. 8, No. 1, January 2010, p. 8

Many thanks to everyone who made this year's BioProcess International Conference and Exhibition a great success in Raleigh, NC, 12–16 October 2009! More than 1,500 participants enjoyed a rich combination of technical workshops, keynote presentations, and focused tracks on manufacturing efficiency and supply chain security, scaling up, cell culture and upstream processing, and recovery and purification. More than 90 posters were presented representing all four technical tracks and the colocated Formulations conference; and training courses provided a complementary series of presentation choices.

Quotes: “A must-attend annual conference for biopharmaceutical industry!” —Jinyou Zhang (Immunomedics)

“This is the best place to connect with people expanding what it means to work in biotech and bioprocessing. Without this, everyone would be working in the dark.”—Mitchell Fraller (AlphaVax)

“This meeting … attracts scientists from both academia and industry all over the world to exchange ideas, to report progresses and to find a way to improve upstream and downstream processes.” —Wei Liao (Pfizer)

Up Next: The BPI European Conference and Exhibition will be in Vienna, Austria, 19–20 May 2010; see www.bpi-eu.com for more details.
